CHAPTER 20 DILEMMA

Okay guys, here’s the deal:

My source wants to be kept off the radar even after
the Namaiki! October issue is publically available.
What this means is they don’t want their source used for the actual ENG release.
There’s already been notifications to those who
D/L’ed the Namaiki! October issue to NOT post their copies online.

So either we wait for the Namaiki! October issue to be publically available
and I can use that for the release OR another sweet Anon-san
can get in touch me to rectify this dilemma.

Here’s my plan:

I can ready my ENG text layers in Photoshop for the whole chapter so that
all I have to do is swap out the pages with the other set.
Then apply my clean up again; which shouldn’t take long this second time around.

If push comes to shove, I could do all this the day of when
the Namaiki! October issue is publically available.
I’ll just need to be informed when that happens.

***Chapter 20 UPDATE 03***

Okay guys, ALL pages are prepped!

Starting today (Sunday) I'll typeset any pages that are ready to go

from the script to start a rough draft.  All other pages will need to

wait until after the final translation check. 

(No rush on Sands so that'll come as it can.)

(Now we have to play the waiting game...)

***Chapter 20 UPDATE 02***

I'm at 68% done with blanking out the JPN text and clean up.

Sands has already given me feedback on the first eight pages.

I'm gonna turn in for the night (1:50 AM for me here).

I'll definitely finish up Sunday however the dilemma with

the nature of this release is still on going.

As it stands, I'll have to wait until the current issue of Namaki!

is available to the general public.

I am aware that the "Thai Team", which I have no affiliation with, 

has posted a preview of their work-in-progress.

So we might see a full Thai release soon.

Though in my opinion I think it might be best to wait for the ENG release.

So guys, what is your anticipation with this chapter?

***Chapter 20 UPDATE 01***

Okay guys, I'm 86% done with the rough draft.

Eighteen pages are FULLY translated (one was void of text).

I only have three pages to go (Shuujirou explaining himself).

I'm gonna grab some lunch and meet up with my other partner-in-crime

K-Slice and finish the last three pages.

Okay guys, the rough draft is FULLY TRANSLATED
and has been sent over to Sands for review!

However here's the dilemma...
The kind Anon-san who helped me with my source
wants to protect themselves; which I totally get.
To avoid any retaliation, they've asked me to not use their source for the release;
to only use it as a head start.  (Which I am and grateful for.)
Ultimately the final release will depend on if my current source
is comfortable about it or if another kind Anon-san reaches out to me.

Also from what I understand, I need to wait two weeks before
I can disseminate a full release.  In the mean time
I'll prepare a copy that'll be ready to go when it's time.

Green Light on 20

We all know what happened when I sleep deprived myself when doing
Chapters 18 & 19 back-to-back and started on the redux for 19.
Those three days I probably only had no more than seven hours of sleep total.

Right now I'm working on scripting the first four pages (18%) before heading to bed.
I'm sure the community can agree that I should get a full night's rest.
My goal is to have all of Chapter 20 fully scripted and translated before the end of the day Sunday and have it in Sands' hands to review the translation.

During that time I'll clean up and blank out the JPN text and get it ready for population.
That part is, of course, only after getting word back from Sands
and we are satisfied with the translation.

It looks like there's twice as much more dialogue than Chapters 18 & 19 combined
so this will keep us all busy.

Looks like I'll need to pop-in good old Spice and Wolf in ENG to play in the background as I work.

I'd say this: It looks like Haruka probably took off her shirt in her sleep because
it's right there at the foot of the sofa.

UPDATE:

Although I originally intended to just scripting tonight,
I starting translating anything that seemed easy enough.

Now, this is tentative so don't treat it as it's set in stone.

So far I've scripted and fully translated the first nine pages.
That puts the translation at being 41% done so far.

Time to get to bed; it's 1:50 AM for me.
(I wonder if I'll beat the Korean and Thai teams?  Like this is a competition.)

Next update is when I'm done with the script and it's in Sands' hands.

A drawing of Haruka (from chapter 18) I did at work during my down time.  I know, I know, I suck and I don't have a steady hand...

Hmm... maybe I should do my own chapter 20 & 21...

Yeah right!

Chapter 20 has yet to surface but as soon as it does I will make the time and start working on it.
